Last week: Beat Tift County 17-14. Sihiem King rushed for 170 yards, caught five passes for 126 more and scored two touchdowns, one with 10:56 left for the final margin. Last week: Beat Rockdale County 23-3. Kevin Morris kicked two field goals, one a 45-yarder, and scored a touchdown, also a 45-yarder, while rushing for 71 yards on seven carries. Last week: Beat Wayne County 32-28. Antonio Harold rushed for 114 yards on 19 carries, and his 2-yard run with 2:42 left gave Burke a 32-21 lead. Wayne County scored with 2:01 left, but Burke then ran out the clock. Donquell Green rushed for 98 yards on 26 carries. Green was 6-of-11 passing for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Last week: Lost to Burke County 32-28. Anfernee Jordan scored on a 9-yard run with 2:01 left to get Wayne County within 32-28, but the Yellow Jackets didn't get the ball back. Last week: Beat West Hall 63-0. Buford led 49-0 at halftime. No Buford player had more than three carries, and three quarterbacks threw TD passes. Buford led in total yardage 494 to 104. Next: Friday vs. White County (4-1)

2. (2) Cartersville (6-0)

Last week: Beat Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe 76-13. QB Brooks Barden threw five TD passes and scored two touchdowns, all in the first half. He had 257 yards passing, 65 rushing. Next: Oct. 18 at Gordon Central (0-6)

Last week: Beat Lovett 36-33. Jed May kicked a 28-yard field goal after Washington County stopped Lovett's first overtime possession. Washington County's Malik Jackson rushed for 201 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns in the final seven minutes, but both point-after tries failed, and the score was 33-33 after regulation. QB A.J. Gray rushed for 138 yards on 18 carries and was 8-of-15 passing for 77 yards. Washington County led in total yards 489-323 but had four turnovers to Lovett's none.
