Former Georgia Tech quarterback Darrell Crawford, who led the Yellow Jackets to an undefeated 1951 season, died, Tech announced Thursday. He was 94.

From Kingsville, Tennessee, Crawford was at the helm of a Tech team that went 11-0-1. A 48-6 win over Georgia that season gave the Jackets an SEC championship and a victory over Baylor gave Tech the Orange Bowl title.

Crawford was the first player in SEC history to throw four touchdown passes in a single game.

Named the MVP of the 1951 team and an All-SEC selection that season, Crawford was inducted into the Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1975.
