Georgia Tech senior forward Zaire O’Neil earned ACC women’s basketball’s Sixth Player of the Year honors, the conference announced Wednesday.

O’Neil is the second Yellow Jacket in program history to earn the title after Alex Montgomery was honored in 2010.

This season, O’Neil started one game for the Yellow Jackets and came off the bench in 28 and finished the season as the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 9.9 points. O’Neil also finished her final season with the Yellow Jackets second on the team with 5.2 rebounds per game.

Nominees for the award must have started less than one-third of the team’s games.
