The Atlanta Braves’ newest sensation “The Freeze” gained national recognition last weekend when he embarrassed two fans in a race on the outfield warning track after the fans were given massive leads.

“The Freeze” or Fort Valley, Ga. native Nigel Talton has raced in six of the 27 Race Trac “Beat the Freeze” promotional races at SunTrust Park.

On MLB Network on Thursday, Talton revealed “The Freeze” isn’t unbeatable. In fact, he lost his Opening Day race.

Talton has worked for the Braves’ grounds crew since 2012 and is a current student at Kennesaw State studying sports management.
