Former Falcon Terance Mathis to be named head coach at Pinecrest Academy

Former Atlanta Falcons' wide receiver Terance Mathis is expected to be named the new head football coach at Cumming's Pinecrest Academy at a press conference on Friday, according to the Forsyth County News.

Mathis played eight seasons with the Falcons from 1994-2001.

During his 13-year career, Mathis racked up 8,809 receiving yards and 63 touchdowns.

Last season, Mathis was an assistant football coach at Lambert High School.

Former Pinecrest football coach Todd Winter resigned to become the head coach at Holy Innocents’. Winter’s record at Pinecrest after five seasons was 35-19.
