The day before the Falcons leave for a 10-day road trip the team sent red roses to players’ wives.

Allison Tamme (wife of tight end Jacob Tamme) and quarterback Sarah Ryan (wife of quarterback Matt Ryan) posted images of the flowers on social media with thanks to the organization. The flowers included a card with a message from coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff: "Appreciate your support while we are on this trip and always. Go Falcons!"

Both Allison Tamme and Sarah Ryan wrore that the gifts are a first since their husbands have been in the league. Both players are in their ninth season.

The Falcons are scheduled to leave Friday for their game at Denver on Sunday. They will then head to Seattle for practice in preparation for a game against the Seahawks on Oct. 16.

Quinn said the Falcons requested that the league schedule two of his team’s four road games against West opponents in consecutive weeks so that they wouldn’t have to make four separate trips west. The Falcons played at Oakland in Week 2 and play at Los Angeles on Dec. 11.
