The wife of former Atlanta Falcons defensive back Brent Grimes was arrested before Sunday's game after she allegedly disobeyed officers outside Miami's Sun Life Stadium.

Miko Grimes was charged, according to Miami-Dade Police, with battery on a law-enforcement officer, resisting with violence, and disorderly conduct. Grimes reportedly tried to cross an area in which police had restricted people from walking into the stadium.

She allegedly avoided an officer's grasp and cursed at police. Police surrounded Grimes, who was cuffed. While in handcuffs, police say, Grimes head butted an officer and was threatened with a Taser if she didn't calm down.

Brent Grimes played six seasons with the Falcons before being waived in 2012. Grimes is in this third season with the Miami Dolphins.

A video of Miko Grimes' initial confrontation with officers was posted to Twitter. (Warning: Contains explicit language.)

Grimes was released on bond. She was treated for injuries to her knee, arm and forearm suffered during the confrontation with officers.

Miko Grimes is no stranger to controversy. She hosts a sports talk radio show in Miami, and is often critical of the league. In an inverview with Vice Sports, Miko Grimes complained Brent Grimes, whom she referred to as the "best player on the team," was mistreated by Atlanta because he was an undrafted player.

You can hear some of that exchange here. (Once again, we warn you the clip contains explicit language.):
