Here’s what the Falcons said after the loss to the Texans:

JAKE MATTHEWS, LEFT TACKLE

On the game: "We had a lead going into the half and then we stalled for a little bit before we could score again. We just couldn't score enough. That's the bases of the game. We have to score more.

On the morale of the team:  "It's frustrating. We've got two options, we can either call it quits or keep working. I know the mindset of this team and the people in this locker room, we're going to work out asses off. We're going to keep trying to win every week. That's what we are expected to do. That's what we should do with the talent that we have. That's about it."

SAFETY RICARDO ALLEN
On the team's performance:
"Not good. If it (doesn't) got a 'W' behind it, it (isn't) good. It's been a consistent … We started off faster. It just wasn't good. It wasn't good at all."

On what he thinks the team needs to do to improve:
"Accountability. Everybody do their job. If we all do our job, you would hope that you'll end up with W's at the end of the day. So, we've just all got to be accountable for what we do, be accountable for our play, and play hard, man."

On taking a lead going into halftime:
"It was still a game. I think we were only up by what one? It was still a game. We knew that they were going to fight until the end. We weren't thinking it was going to come out like that."

LINEBACKER VIC BEASLEY JR.
On how the Falcons can get more pressure on the quarterback:
"We just have to continue to work hard. We feel like we have all the talent to get the job done, we just have to continue to work hard."

On allowing more-than 50 points:
"It's disappointing. Disappointing. I played a role in that and you have to accept it for what it is and then just continue to learn from it."

WIDE RECEIVER CALVIN RIDLEY
On scoring 32 points but not being able to get the win:
"Pretty frustrating that we didn't get the win. Really doesn't matter how many points we scored. Just try to get the wins."

On how the team is feeling after this game:
"Very frustrating because we really wanted to get this win, and we had to. So we just really got to move on to the next one and keep trying to win."
