Here’s what the Falcons had to say after the 34-31 win over Seattle on Monday Night Football:
Desmond Trufant
On Russell Wilson: "Russell was scrambling. We were trying to keep him as far away from the field goal as possible. We did that and the kicker ended up missing. We'll take the win. We are confident group. We just keep pushing."
On playoffs: "We know there is a lot of football left."
On his interception: "I got the pick, but I should have scored. I want talk about that. It was a great win. We made a lot of plays. It was a good team win. Our goal was to leave here 1-0 and we did that."
On win: "It was big. They are a great team. They are very resilient. They never give up. We knew they were going to keep fighting. We knew what caliber of team they are and we know what caliber of team we are. So, we just have to keep pushing and keep riding this momentum."
On NFC South race: "We definitely have some big games coming up. All the games are important, but these divisions games are big. We just have to keep preparing, keep working and we'll be good."
Derrick Shelby
On Russell Wilson: "We had a lot of pressure on him. That guy is kind of a magician back there. But for the most part, we held him under wraps. He still had his plays, but for the most part we executed the game plan."
On playoffs: "If we want to go where we want to go, we have got to start stringing some wins together. This was definitely a good step in the right direction getting tow in a row. We just have to come back next week with the same hunger to fight."
On defensive touchdown: "You love it. You just love it when your fellow (defensive) linemen do well because it motivates you to go out there and do well and make a play."
Adrian Clayborn
On his touchdown: "Those guys did a good job of getting after (Wilson). I was just around the ball. I picked it up and scored. There wasn't (anything) special that I did."
On having touchdown last season, touchdown machine?: "I would not say that. I was just lucky to be in the right spot at the right time."
On Russell Wilson: "He's pretty darn good. We were trying to chase him all over the field. He was able to get loose and complete some passes. We held them off."
On defensive line rotation: "We had a lot guys up and we have a lot of guys that can play different positions so it was great when you have a quarterback like that who can run all over the place."
On win: "That we can play with anybody. We can stop guys. We can get stops and we can hold our own."
Julio Jones
On win: "We are getting the outcome that we wanted now. It will breed more swagger and more confidence in guys."
On Seahawks: "(Richard) Sherman was down. (Kam) Chancellor was out and things like that. We had to take advantage of the secondary. They did a great job, but we were just trying to beat man to man."
On importance of win: "It's one game at a time. It's Seattle. This game is over and done with. I'm about to catch this plane. It's along ride. I'm going to bed. I'm going to sleep all the way until we get home and then I'm going to get some more sleep."
On Matt Ryan's 200-yard game streak snapped: "I didn't know it. I guess it was something come for him to go out there and sling the ball around like that. A lot of times people don't look at thinks like that and it just goes over your head, but he's special. A lot of people don't look at things like that. It's special that he's been doing it for so long."
Robert Alford
On play of Trufant: "I was very excited. I was wishing that he got a pick-six and could have took it to the house, but I think Russell had cut him off. Then he tried to shake him and what not. One their guys came and tackled him. I'm happy for him. Just to be able to come back to Seattle and do that in front on his fans was huge."
Takkarist McKinley
On defensive touchdown: "We got points off of it. Coach – all he preaches is 'ball is everything'."
On Russell Wilson: "That dude is fast. We preached all week that we have to keep him in the pocket and contain, but we understand that he watches film, as well. He's excellent at making plays, escaping the pocket, and improvising."
On season: "One game at a time. I am just trying to be better at practice each week, and whomever we face, just focus on them. We have to stay consistent. We got two good wins, but like I said, we have to keep building off of this."
Alex Mack
On playing on Monday Night Football: "Definitely a nail biter at the end there. Every game is super important. It's a really tight race, so you need to take it one game at a time. For us to put together in each phase of the game, and put a good performance in, because we needed every inch."
Levine Toilolo
On touchdown: "Play actions. There's a lot of movement, it's a tough one for the defense, a lot of moving parts. I was able to sneak out the back door, Matt had a great ball and I was able to come down with it. That play is always a long-developing play and the whole time you are hoping it will get down. With a safety like Earl Thomas back there, he's covering ground."
On run game: "I think we did well. We have a stable of backs. We have Free, Tifo, Ward – he doesn't get as much recognition. He's someone that I know as a teammate is always ready."
Mohamed Sanu
On rest of season: "Each week we have to go 1-0. We have to stay focused on the task at hand, and everyone just has to keep having fun. We are always confident. We always work hard together. We have a tight brotherhood. Each player in this locker room depends on each other, we hold each other accountable and you've seen the way we play out there."
