Here's the Falcons had to say after the 37-10 loss to the Rams:

DEFENSIVE END VIC BEASLEY

On the loss: "It's very tough. It feels like a lot of times, every week, we definitely feel like we have the players to go out there and win. But it just ain't happening for us right now."

On no sacks for fourth-straight game: "We almost got there. But almost doesn't get it done. We're getting pressure, but it's just turning into sacks for us."

On trade rumors: Yeah. I'm aware of it. I'll just continue to help this team win games for as long as I'm here. If a trade does happen, I'll just take it as it is."

On if he asked for trade: "I didn't ask for it. Just taking it one day at a time. If upstairs, Coach (Quinn) and (general manager Thomas) Dimitroff feel that's what is needed, I'll understand. But as long as I'm going to try to help this team win games."

On if he needs a fresh start: "I feel like we got the players in this room to win games. I feel like definitely we're capable of winning games. I feel like, if they feel I need a fresh start, while that's understandably. But the team here, the players here…..is the same collection of guys who went to the Super Bowl a few years ago."

On the team: "Yes. We are so close to getting over the hump. I think it really just comes down to execution. Teams are executing better than us.

We have to work hard and continue to believe in one another.”

On if he and team are letting coach Dan Quinn down: "Yeah, I feel like I've let him down. He's made some great calls. We just have to execute. He's making good calls. It's up to us to execute them."

TACKLE KALEB McGARY
On the game: "It's hard to tell what happened out there. Sometimes everything that possibly could go wrong does go wrong. That is what seems like happened today. We just have to play better and put ourselves in a better position from the get-go. All you can do is strap it back on and keep fighting."

On watching the film: "I don't know that anyone that has a bad day wants to look at the film, but we have to. It's never fun watching yourself lose on tape, but it's something you have to do what you have to do to learn."

On being a rookie: "I've got to play better. I just have got to play better. I can't be a rookie, there doesn't need to be an excuse. Tell that to Matt Ryan or [Matt] Schaub or anybody else in the backfield, it doesn't matter that I am a rookie. I have to play better."

On letting the team down: "Of course, I feel like I let the team down."

DEFENSIVE END TAKK MCKINLEY
On how difficult this five-game stretch has been: "You know, it's crazy. I don't think anybody on this team expected us to be 1-6, but all we can do is watch film on Monday, keep practicing hard and try to end this slump. It sucks but you can't dwell on it, you have to find a way to stop it and get a win."

On whether there are any red flags that come up in practice: "No. I'm not going to lie to you. You don't come into the game like "damn, we're about to get our ass beat." No, we practice hard, DQ helps the players take care of their bodies, and at the end of the day it's on us. We have enough talent in this room to win games. So, we need to reflect in the mirror and look at ourselves. Do better, do more."

On how you prevent the team from falling apart during this tough stretch: "The biggest thing is, it's a brotherhood. For you guys on the outside looking in and from fans looking in, they don't know that each guy in this room cares about each other. There are no pointing fingers or there's no he can do this better, he can do that better. It's none of that. It's all about what you can do better and what you can bring to the table. Like I said it sucks but you just have to find a way out of the slump."

On whether a new voice is needed inside the locker room: "Once again, the coaches have nothing to do with how we've been playing. They put us in great situations to go out there and perform, it's just up to the players to do it. We just have to find a way.

On the team's attitude headed into the bye week: "Go back to work Wednesday and have the same attitude, work hard. That's about it."

On what the issue has been for this team: "We just have to find a gel. We've been working, we just have to put it all together."

On at what point the team loses its grip on the game: "It's never one play. There is no one play that gets it out of hand, it just happens during the course of the game. I play until the game is over, I don't really pay attention to the score until it's over."

On the calls for Coach Quinn's job and whether Coach Quinn should take some of the blame: "My thing is; we take care of us. We aren't really worried about what the outside is saying, we know what it takes and just have to keep working every week."

LINEBACKER FOYESADE OLUOKUN
On his roughing the passer penalty: "If that is the rule, then that is how they have got to call it. I mean I was thinking about it after the play and he [Jared Goff] signed up to play football just like I signed up to play football. If they are going to protect him like that, that's wild. I was just trying to tackle him and bring him down. I feel like I even put my hands on the ground not to fall with my full weight on him. They are going to protect him though, he is the million-dollar man and I am just a thousand-dollar man. If that is the way it goes, it goes. Take it as you want. I am just there trying to play football and make a tackle, I am not really going through what happened."

On whether the penalty affects his play: "Not really, I am just playing football. They called the penalty and if they call it on the next play, that is just how it is going to be. I don't really think much about it next play. To be honest, as a pass rusher, I don't even really know what you could think next time. If you go to make the same tackle, you are probably going to make the same mistake over and over. You are going to continue to see that call every week. He [Jared Goff] signed up to play football just like us, and I am not saying Goff in particular, just quarterbacks in general, but if that is how they are calling it we have to make the adjustment."

On turning the page defensively: "We have to get back to the drawing board and see what went wrong. I think we played well against the run. We have to try to fix the rest and bring the right mentality every game."

On coach Quinn handling adversity: "He just tries to keep our heads up as much as possible. I think he does a good job of getting our minds right every game and keeping us up in spirits. It is on us to make the plays come to life. We have them all schematically written down but it is up to us to bring them to life."

On coach Quinn's future: "I am really concerned with winning the next game. [Coach Quinn's] future is out of my control. I am trying to keep him here. I have loved him as a coach and he has made my time here as a Falcon everything that I have dreamed about. I feel like it is our duty as players to keep him here. The coaches can call up whatever they want but if we do not execute it the way we are supposed to, then we are going to get the same results. We have got to play better as a team — offense, defense, special teams, everybody."
