Here’s what Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had to say after the 26-24 loss to Seattle on Sunday:

(On the emotional impact of the loss…) "It's disappointing. Obviously we didn't start the way we wanted to in the first half, and I thought we responded really well in the second half and continued to battle. We just didn't the way that we needed to. It's a disappointing loss, but we played a really good football team on the road, so we'll learn from it, get back to work and try and be better next week."

(On the interception on a pass intended for Julio Jones…) "I just need to give him a better ball. That's it in those situations. I loved how aggressive we were. We've just to make the play."

(On what changed in the second half…) "I thought we settled down a little bit at halftime. Obviously this is a tough place to play. There's no question about it. It was loud, and we probably didn't handle the environment as well as we needed to in the first half. But we settled down and came back out in the second half and executed pretty well and got ourselves right back into the game. But it's all about the start. For us to take that ball down and score right off the half was big."

(On him staying resilient and throwing touchdowns despite taking some big hits today…) "You know going into it, it's going to be that type of game. Obviously this is a very good defense. They're extremely physical, and when you play on the road as a quarterback you have to prepare yourself for that. For me, I don't worry about that. You just pop back up and go to the next play. That's kind of always the way I've approached it, and I don't think you really ever change that. Did it feel good or whatever? Touchdowns always feel good. It doesn't matter if you get hit the play before or you don't get touched. Anytime you score it feels good. I thought we did a great job in the third quarter of taking advantage of opportunities that we had."

(On being mentally tough after a loss…) "It happens. Unfortunately, it happens in this league. You're playing against really, really good players week in and week out—very good teams. So to me, learning to be a professional, and the most important part of being a professional is being able to put this one behind us and moving on. Whether it's good or bad, I believe that. You have to put that one behind you and start focusing on the next one. I think we've got the right mix of guys, the right group of guys in our locker room to understand that. We didn't get the result we wanted, but we're going to get back to work tomorrow when we get back to Atlanta and make sure we get a different result next week."

(On if this was the most physical game he has played in…) "Um, I mean, I feel pretty good. They're physical, for sure, but I've played in some physical ones before."

(On if he thinks interference occurred on his final pass to Jones…) "I haven't seen the replay, but our job is to play. That's all you can focus on. I thought Julio did a hell of a job of going up and being aggressive to try and make a play on the ball."

(On the play of his offensive line in the first and second halves…) "Our offensive line did a fantastic job in the second half. Obviously, collectively, we didn't play as well as we needed to in the first half. It's not them. It's all of us. We had opportunities, but we didn't really do much. I thought they responded really well, as did the whole offense. I thought we played well in the second half."

(On if tight end Levine Toilolo is his secret weapon…) "That was a great play by Levine to keep his feet and get into the end zone. Our tight ends have done a great job this year. We've been in a lot of three-tight-end sets when their numbers have been called on, so I was really happy for Levine."

(On what Seattle did to shut down the run…) "Well, they play eight guys in the box every snap, and they're very, very good. When you have their talent, that helps shut down the run. But I thought we had a good game plan and were aggressive in the passing game and put up some points on a very good defense, but just needed one or two more plays to finish that game out."
