Former backup guard/center Wes Schweitzer is set to sign a three-year, $13.5 million deal with the Washington Redskins, according to NFL Network.

Schweitzer was drafted in 2016, but did not play as the team converted him from a college tackle to a NFL guard.

He won a battle with Ben Garland for the starting right guard spot in 2017.

He had a mostly bumpy tenure with the Falcons as he made 36 starts and played in 46 games. He got beat by Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, which lead to Matt Ryan suffering a high ankle sprain last season.
