Falcons starting cornerback Desmond Trufant, who injured his toe near the end of the 53-32 loss to the Texans on Sunday, hasn’t practiced all week and is “day to day” for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals, according to coach Dan Quinn.

“He got banged up in the game,” Quinn said. “It happened near the end of the game.”

Quinn was not ready to rule Trufant out for the Cardinals game, which is set for 4:05 p.m. Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

“We have to see where he can get to as it goes through the end of the week,” Quinn said. “But we held (out of practice) him (Wednesday) and (Thursday). We’ll see what it looks like (Friday), but it’s definitely sore for him to go. We are kind of going day by day and into Saturday.”
