Falcons WR Roddy White vs. Texans CB Kareem Jackson: Over the past two games, White has 17 catches for 267 yards and a touchdown. After leading the NFL with 115 catches last season, he has 64 receptions for 830 yards and four touchdowns. Jackson, a second-year player, is having a strong season. The Falcons should get some one-on-one matchups with Jackson on White. "They put [their cornerbacks] on islands in their quarters coverage, where they allow their safeties to come up and support the run," Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said.
Falcons CB Dunta Robinson vs. Texans WR Andre Johnson: Robinson will play against his former team for the first time. He used to practice against Johnson and knows his moves. Robinson was a first-round pick of the Texans (10th overall) in 2004. He played six seasons in Houston and had 13 interceptions before signing with the Falcons. Johnson, who's battling back from a hamstring injury, recorded his 700th career catch Sunday in his 120th game, the second fewest games needed to reach that milestone. He has 38 catches for 469 yards and two interceptions.
Falcons RT Tyson Clabo vs. Texans OLB Connor Barwin: Clabo will have a good battle against Barwin, who was named the AFC's defensive player of the month. He leads the Texans with 8.5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits in his first season playing outside linebacker. He is starting to get comfortable rushing off the edge in their 3-4 alignment. He had four sacks Sunday against Jacksonville. "He's played really well all year long," Houston coach Gary Kubiak said. "Those sacks tend to come in bunches, and so he's kind of got rewarded for all his hard work."
