Falcons coach Dan Quinn calls the day after games “Tell the Truth Mondays.”

For the last practice before the exhibition game on Saturday, we’re calling it “Trap Music Thursday.”

The Falcons came out with music blaring and ripped through a brisk one-hour practice. They’ll have a closed-walk-through at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday before facing the Cardinals at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Quinn declared running back Devonta Freeman (concussion), safety Damontae Kazee (ankle), defensive end Martin Ifedi (ankle), tackle Austin Pasztor (pectoral injury) and cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring) out for the game.

Here are six things we learned from practice:

1. Schweitzer runs with first-team. It looks like Wes Schweitzer is set to get the start at right guard against the Cardinals. He was working with the first-team. Quinn said he will make an announcement on Friday and was adamant that it would not be a indication of who's winning the battle or that he'd be naming an opening day starter.

2. Wreh-Wilson with trainers. Backup cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson was working off to the side with trainers.

3. Deep threat. Wide receiver Reggie Davis hauled in a 50-yard bomb from Matt Ryan. The former UGA standout continues to help himself in practice.

4. Ball hawking. Cornerback Deji Olaytoye made a nice interception of a pass throw by Alex Torgersen along the right sideline.

5. Takk Power. Rookie defensive end Takk McKinley blazed around left tackle Kevin Graf and tagged the quarterback down. In live action, the quarterback may have been de-cleated.

6. Seven-on-Seven: Old Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Sherman Lewis never wanted to see the ball on the ground during seven-on-seven sessions. The quarterbacks were 10 of 18 during the seven-on-seven session. Matt Ryan was 5 of 6, Matt Schaub 3 of 3, Matt Simms 2 of 5 and Torgersen was 0 of 4.

Ryan’s only miss was on a pass intended for Julio Jones in the right flat.
