FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme, who caught one pass for 8 yards against Dallas, suffered a concussion and will be in the league's concussion protocol, coach Dan Quinn said on Monday.

Tamme played 12 of the 74 plays (16 percent) before leaving the game. He was replaced in the lineup by Levine Toilolo.

Fullback Pat DiMarco was used in some formations as a backup tight end.

Tight end Marcel Jensen is on the practice squad.

Tamme contributed a big 41-yard catch-and-run to help jumpstart the comeback against the New York Giants in Week Two of the season.

Tamme, 30, who was signed to a two-year $4 million contract in free agency, is trying to revive his career after two down seasons with the Denver Broncos.
