Soliai, Weems declared out with injuries

Dec 27, 2015

Falcons defensive tackle Paul Soliai suffered a calf injury on the first series of the game.

He walked off the field with the team trainers, who worked on the calf on the sidelines. He put on helment, but didn’t immediately return to the action.

His return was announced as questionable.

Soliai returned on second down and 3 from Carolina’s 39, in the second series of the game. He later left the game in the second quarter after apparently aggravating the previous injury.

Special teams player Eric Weems was taken to the locker room to be observed for a concussion in the second quarter.

Both were declared out of the game in the third quarter with a calf injury and a concussion.
