Matt Ryan was taken out of the game in the fourth quarter and replaced by Sean Renfree.

Ryan threw 19-of-27 for 256 yards and one touchdown against the Texans.

Ryan threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Leonard Hankerson in the second quarter to extend the Falcons’ lead 28-0.

The last time Ryan was taken out of a game was in the Falcons’ 56-14 win over Tampa Bay in 2014 when he was replaced by T.J. Yates.

Renfree , the former Duke quarterback, was drafted by the Falcons in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Against Houston will be Renfree’s first time on the field with the Falcons in regular season.
