For Robenson Therezie, a rookie defensive back out of Auburn, adjusting to the NFL is enjoyable.

Therezie said with no classes and homework, he’s fully able to dedciate himself to learning how to be a pro.

“(In) college, I had class and practice,” Therezie said. “Now, I graduated and I can have more time to study the playbook and more time in learning some techniques and learning about the game.”

Therezie had his first professional start against Houston Sunday recording one deflected pass and tying Allen Bradford for the team lead of five tackles.

Terron Ward, a rookie out of Oregon State who is featured at running back and on special teams, said he also is enjoying adjusting to like as a pro. After his first professional touchdown against the Texans Sunday, Ward said he’s just starting to get accustomed to the schedule of the long NFL season.

“I think it’s coming along,” Ward said. “In college the season’s almost over. You know, getting into a routine through the whole week. I think I’m getting my routine down and getting my body back and get my playbook down.”

Therezie said when he and Ward were signed, they talked about both being undrafted and then signing with Atlanta (4-0). Now in week five, Terezie said it’s time to put the past behind them and focus on becoming professionals.

Therezie and Ward were both signed by the Falcons as undrafted rookie free agents in May.
