Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein, who kicked the game-winning 57-yard field goal in the NFC Championship game against the Saints on Sunday, suffered a left foot strain and did not practice Thursday.

“It’s his plant foot,” Rams coach Sean McVay said. “We are just being extra cautious by having him in a boot, doing treatments and things like that. I don’t anticipate it or expect it to be anything that prevents him from being able to play in the game. We are just being extra cautious with it. He’ll be OK.”

The injury happened in the game.

“It didn’t seem like it effected him, did it,” McVay said.

The Rams will face the New England Saints in Super Bowl LIII at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
