Falcons coach Dan Quinn was elated about the hire of Greg Knapp to become the team’s quarterback coach.

“He’s got real experience not only coaching quarterbacks, organizing an offensive game plan and then also he’s got experience in our system,” Quinn said in between scouting practices at the Senior Bowl on Tuesday. “His time spent with (Gary Kubiak) both at Houston and in Denver certainly, there is a lot of language that would be the same.

“We’re excited to add a man with his experience to the group. Some of the ideas that he has have been successful throughout the years.”

The Falcons hired Knapp on Monday.
