New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning spoke with the local media via conference call on Wednesday.

Here are five questions Manning answered:

Q: How are you managing this latest New York crisis?

A: We're managing it. I thought we had a good day of practice. We got off to a good start. We are handling everything and going about our business. We are just trying to get ready for a good Atlanta team that's coming off a good win.

Q: Will you be glad when 1 p.m. Sunday gets here?

A: Yeah. This is one of those weeks when you wish you were a baseball player and you had a game the next day. You could just get right back on the field. Instead of having a week to digest everything. But that's part of the game. If you play long enough, there's going to be good and bad. You get through it and it will make you stronger. Hopefully, we can go out there and play well this week.

Q: Do you have to change where you operate from in the pocket?

A: I think we mix it up a little bit. We'll do some three-step, five-step, we'll rollout, we'll do play action. You can't just sit back there at 7 yards on every single play. Eventually, these guys are good and they'll get a good pass rush. You have to mix up the pocket, move around and help our your offensive line. I think we do a decent job of trying to get the ball out quickly and then be selective when you take your shots and hold the ball and try to hit something a little deeper.

Q: What did you think of the Falcons pass rush?

A: I thought it looked great. They did a great job of getting pressure. A lot of times they were bringing four guys and some times bringing five. But they were getting to the quarterback and getting hits. Some of the times, they were getting completions, but they were still getting hits on the quarterback. Those always add up. We have to be prepared for all of their looks.

Q: Is it easier to read defenses with receivers like Odell Beckham and Victor Cruz?

A: You have to have a plan for them. You have to figure out if a team is going to eye him or play certain guys differently. If you are all of sudden playing for certain looks and certain coverages. All of sudden you can get different looks. …the other guys has to get open. You have to stick to your reads and have a plan. You just can't go in and say, we're going to throw every pass to Odell. That's why we have Rueben Randle, Larry Donnell and other guys. We have to get them the ball and everybody has to do their job.
