Person, Durant close to returning

Oct 19, 2015

FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons could be at full strength for the Titans as center Mike Person and linebacker Justin Durant worked out with the training staff on Monday.

That’s the last step before players return to practice. Falcons coach Dan Quinn is hoping they will return to practice on Wednesday.

“They moved around today,” Quinn said. “They are kind of following right along with the plan.”

Person, who has an ankle injury, sprinted across the field from the linemen practice to his training session. He didn’t have either of his ankles heavily taped.

Person was injured in the Washington game and didn’t play against the Saints. His backup, James Stone, had a costly botched snap in the 31-21 loss to the Saints.

Durant, who has an elbow injury, has missed the past two games. He was leading the defense in tackles from his weakside linebacker spot before his injury. He’s been replace in the lineup by Joplo Bartu in the base defense and Nate Stupar in the nickel.
