Falcons defensive end Takk McKinley looks to head coach Dan Quinn for direction during a time out Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, against the Tennessee Titans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Takk McKinley averaged 46.5 snaps in the Falcons’ first 10 games, but was limited to only 13 snaps in Sunday’s loss to the Bucs while trying to play with an injured shoulder.

Jacob Tuioti-Mariner received more playing time in McKinley’s absence, finishing with three tackles in his 32 snaps at defensive end. Austin Larkin, who was signed on Saturday to provide depth at defensive end, played 11 snaps on special teams.

McKinley had shoulder issues when he was drafted and has had at least two shoulder surgeries during his tenure with the Falcons.
