FLOWERY BRANCH – Georgia defensive end Leonard Floyd dropped out of the first round of Mel Kiper's most recent mock draft.

Floyd’s uneven play at Georgia is a concern for Kiper, ESPN’s top draft analyst.

“Week to week he was too quiet in games,” Kiper said on Monday. “He was handled by some tackles that should be able to get the best of him. I look at him as a possibility for Seattle or Arizona. I had him going to Arizona in the first mock draft that I did.”

Floyd was also listed 6-foot-4 and 231 pounds by the Bulldogs. Kiper wants to get the official combine weight on Floyd.

“The weight is important for pass rushers in the NFL,” Kiper said. “He has to get that weight up a little bit. I want to see what he weighs at because we don’t have accurate measurables on these underclassmen until we get to the combine.”

Former Georgia linebacker Jordan Jenkins, who had a strong week at the Senior Bowl, is considered a mid-round NFL prospect.

“Jenkins, I have right now a fourth- or third-round grade on,” Kiper said. “He doesn’t have nearly the explosive qualities of Floyd, but he is a more physical player. A more multi-dimensional player. But, he doesn’t give you the upside that Floyd does.”
