Inactives: Reed set to face Texans

Oct 4, 2015

Linebacker Brooks Reed is set to make his Falcons’ debut against the Texans, his former team, at 1 p.m. Sunday after not being declared inactive.

Wide receiver Justin Hardy, returner Devin Hester, running back Tevin Coleman, safety Ricardo Allen, center Gino Gradkowski tackle Kyle Long and tight end Jacob Tamme were declared inactive.

Also, with Allen (knee injury) out, rookie Robenson Therezie is set to start at free safety. He’ll be backed up by Kemal Ishmael.

Reed missed the first three games of the season while recovering from groin surgery.

Reed was a major free-agent acquisition for the Falcons during the off season, when they signed him to a four-year contract that included $9 million guaranteed. Reed started 52 games for the Texans over the past four seasons.
