Falcons defensive end Ra’Shede Hageman, the team’s second-round draft pick, played just 13 snaps against Pittsburgh and had a big stop for a loss against the Steelers.
He’s not complaining about his snaps.
“You just have to be patient because you don’t ever know when it’s going to be your turn,” Hageman said. “I feel like I definitely can contribute. Right now, it’s just studying film more and doing what you can to get their trust. That’s what it’s all about.
“You’re not going to put (anybody) in the game that you don’t trust. That’s just (the truth).”
Hageman is ready for his first game in New Orleans. Some of the veterans have told him what to expect when he runs onto the Superdome field.
“But at the end of the day, I can’t let that affect me,” Hageman said. “I have had my teammates tell me stories about Mardi Gras and New Orleans and all of that stuff.”
