FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons defensive end Malliciah Goodman, who missed the last game with a left triceps injury, returned to practice on Wednesday.

The injury was heavily taped and he wore a bulky brace.

“I’m definitely happy about getting back out there,” Goodman said. “I missed being out there with the guys last week. I’m just trying to get healthy so I can get back out there and help my team.”

Goodman is part of the defensive line rotation.

He played 27 snaps (36 percent) in the season-opener against the Eagles. He finished with two tackles and one quarterback hit. He was inactive against the Giants.

“We try to keep fresh guys out there on the field,” Goodman said.

Linebacker Brooks Reed (groin surgery), returner Devin Hester (turf toe) and running back Tevin Coleman (fractured rib) did not practice.

Also, defensive end Kroy Biermann was not on the field during the open portion of practice. Linebacker Paul Worrilow (calf) is recovering and participated in parts of practice on a limited basis.
