Georgia Tech associate director of player personnel Cody Moore reacted on Twitter on Monday to the commitment of Thomasville High School safety Charlie Thomas, a three-star recruit according to most services.

The Class of 2018 star from South Georgia was also tweeting about his own excitement about coming to Atlanta to play for one of his home-state schools.

Thomas chose Georgia Tech over offers from 15 schools, according to 247Sports. Those schools were highlighted by Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, and in-state schools Georgia Southern and Georgia State.
