The Falcons signed fullback Ricky Ortiz and waived cornerback Joseph Putu on Wednesday.
Ortiz, who played at Oregon State, was signed as a rookie free agent by Baltimore after the 2017 draft. He was on the Ravens’ practice squad last season.
Ortiz, who’s 6-foot and 230 pounds, was used mostly as a blocker in college.
Putu was a reserve defensive back, but played on special teams at Florida.
Before playing for the Gators for two seasons, he was at North Dakota State of Science for two seasons. He received a $1,000 bonus from the Falcons.
