April 5, 2019Former Falcons safety Jordan Richards, who played one season with the team, signed with the Raiders on Friday.
The Falcons were hoping to add some depth when they acquired Richards in a trade with New England, but because of injuries to Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen he was forced to play.
The Falcons sent a conditional 2020 seventh-round pick to the Patriots for Richards.
Richards appeared in 15 games and made a career-high 12 starts last season. Richards also set career highs in tackles and passes defensed, with 37 and three.
