The Falcons defense shut down Houston’s rushing attack, which was supposed to receive a boost from the return of former Pro Bowler Arian Foster, in the first half.

Foster, who was coming off groin surgery, was held to 3 yards on six carries.

Alfred Blue, who rushed for 139 yards in a 19-9 win over Tampa Bay, had 10 yards on three carries.

Through halftime, the Falcons’ defense has not allowed a score over the past four quarters.
