Garrett Reynolds, who opened the last three seasons as a starter at right guard, was released by the Falcons on Tuesday.

He was released a day after the team signed offensive guard/tackle Gabe Carimi.

Carimi, 6-7, 316 pounds, was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round (29th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Carimi, who played with Falcons center/right guard Peter Konz at Wisconsin, spent two seasons in Chicago. He played in 18 games and made 16 starts before being traded to Tampa Bay for a sixth-round pick before the 2013 season.

Reynolds, 6-7, 310 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the fifth round (156th overall) of the 2009 NFL draft. He played in 42 games and made 23 starts in five seasons with the Falcons.
