Kicker Shayne Graham, who helped the Falcons through a rough patch in 2015, has started his career as a special teams coach, according to the Lynchburg (Va.) News & Advance via ProFootballTalk.com.

Graham, who played at Virginia Tech, was a special teams quality control coach with Central Michigan last season and will served as a special teams intern at Michigan State in 2018.

Graham was signed Nov. 26, 2015 by the Falcons to fill in for kicker Matt Bryant, who suffered a right quadriceps injury. Before the Falcons traveled to Charlotte, Bryant was put on season-ending injured reserve, leaving the kicking duties to Graham for the rest of the season.

Graham made 11 of 13 field goals over five games. He was 3 of 3 of field goals of 50 yards or more. He was signed a day after his father passed away on Nov. 24, 2015.

Graham, who broke into the NFL with Buffalo in 2001, played with 11 teams over his 15-year career.

Graham was voted the Pro Bowl and named All-Pro in 2005 with Cincinnati.
