At Falcons minicamp on Tuesday afternoon, defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, who’s recovering from tendinitis in his knee, returned to practice.

He missed the past three weeks of OTAs.

Jarrett, a fifth-round pick (137th overall) in 2015 out of Clemson, participated in individual workouts, which included rotating with the defensive ends in pass rush drills.

Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Jarrett will be eased back into the rotation. He will have a couple of days before the coaching staff decides to put him in team activities.

Jarrett is expected to take over as the team’s primary nose tackle after former nose Paul Soliai was released. He later signed with the Carolina Panthers.

Last season, Jarrett was ranked as the top rookie defensive tackle by Pro Football Focus. He had an 11.3 grade and finished the season with 24 tackles, one sack and four tackles for losses.
