Falcons’ injury report: Ryan, Trufant, Jarrett, Smith and Carpenter held out of practice

Oct 24, 2019

Quarterback Matt Ryan (right high ankle sprain), defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (abdomen), cornerback Desmond Trufant (turf toe), left guard James Carpenter (knee) and running back Ito Smith (concussion) did not practice on Thursday, according to the team’s official injury report.

Smith has been declared out of Sunday’s game against Seattle at 1 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

It was Ryan’s second missed day of practice. If Ryan, who has started 163 straight games, can play, Matt Schaub will start against the Seahawks.

Ryan was seen in the locker room walking without a boot.

Carpenter was limited in practice on Wednesday.
