Wade Harman, 50, who was recently fired by the Baltimore Ravens, was hired as the Falcons’ assistant offensive line coach on Friday, the team announced.
Harman spent the past 15 seasons on the staff of the Ravens. He served as the tight ends coach for the past six seasons before being terminated January 27.
Earlier this offseason, Mike Tice was named as the offensvie line coach after the Falcons fired offensive line coaches Paul Dunn and Pat Hill. Dunn was hired to serve as the offensvie line coach for the Houston Texans.
Harman served as Tice’s assistant offensive line coach during the 1997 and 1998 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. Tice was the offensive line coach for the Vikings from 1997 to 2001, before becoming the interim head coach in 2001 and the head coach in 2002.
He was on the staff in Baltimore along with Falcons head coach Mike Smith from 1999 to 2002.
Before becoming the tight ends coach he was the assistant offensive line coach from 1999 to 2007.
Harman began his coaching career in at Utah State in 1987 as a graduate assistant before becoming the running backs/wide receivers coach at Pacific in 1992.
He spent 1996 as the offensive coordinator/offensive line coach at Morningside College before joining the Vikings.
Harman was the longest tenured member of the Ravens coaching staff and was the only coach to be a part of both of Baltimore’s Super Bowl winning teams after the 2000 and 2012 seasons.
