Falcons had Brees rattled, nervous

The Falcons believed they rattled the normally unflappable Drew Brees and made him nervous in their 30-14 victory on Sunday.

“We wanted to get Drew Brees under pressure and have him nervous in the pocket,” linebacker Joplo Bartu said. “Kudos to our defensive lineman for making that happen.”

The Falcons registered a season-high five sacks against the Saints. The Falcons had four sacks during the second meeting with Tampa Bay on Nov. 9.

“Pressure wise, that was huge,” linebacker Paul Worrilow said. “Just being able to get him off balance and not let him get comfortable and into a rhythm bode well for us the whole game.”
