Former Georgia standout Richard Samuel heads up a group of undrafted players who will receive a tryout at the Falcons rookie minicamp, which runs Friday through Sunday.

Samuel, a versatile performer for the Bulldogs, bounced around between running back and linebacker. He was also a strong special teams players, who worked out for some NFL teams as a tight end.

At Georgia's Pro Day, Samuel measured 6-feet and weighed 238 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds, had a 10-feet, 5.5-inch broad jump, 36.5-inch vertical jump and lifted 225-pounds 23 times on the bench press.

Georgia Tech long snapper Tyler Morgan, of Fayetteville and Whitewater High,  and West Georgia defensive back Kelly Dawsey, who is from Valdosta and played at Lowndes High,  will also receive tryouts.

Last season, the Falcons signed three of their tryout players -- former Georgia tight end Aron White, wide receiver Kenny Stafford and fullback Lee Meisner - to free agent contracts after completion of the 2012 rookie minicamp.
