QB CORNER: Matt Ryan

Nov 22, 2014

Here’s the QB corner with Matt Ryan and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter:

Q: Can you all throw more deep passes?

A: Yes, we have to hit them when they are there. We've had opportunities to take some shots down the field. We have not hit as many as we'd like. Then, from a schematic standpoint, we've got to figure out ways to maybe take another shot here or there. That's something that we've talked about in our (meeting) rooms. From a player's perspective, I feel that when it's there we have to be opportunistic.

Q: Any thoughts on returning to the Georgia Dome?

A: I think the guys are excited to get back and defend the dome. We want to play good football at home. That's something that we've kind of hung our hats on here in the past. I think guys are excited about that.

Q: How are you sizing up the Cleveland Browns?

A: Their defense is very good. In their front seven, (Barkevious) Mingo and (Paul) Kruger are two very good players. Kruger is a little bit more stout, but Mingo has very good speed and agility. In the back end, you're playing against a very, very good corner in Joe Haden. I think their front end and their back end match up pretty well. They are playing opportunistically as well. They are taking the ball away about as well as anybody in the NFL right now.
