FLOWERY BRANCH — Falcons kicker Matt Bryant (quadriceps) and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson (hamstring) were declared out of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay by head coach Dan Quinn on Friday.
“Matt hit the ball, but it’s unlikely he’ll play,” Quinn said. “Hankerson will not make it with the hamstring. (Tight end) Tony Moeaki also has a strained hamstring and will check him again today, but it’s unlikely he’ll go.”
Returner Devin Hester had a great week and expected to activated later today.
Right guard Chris Chester (shoulder) returned to practice on Friday after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
“He looked great today and felt strong,” Quinn said. “That’s what we wanted to make sure about. Sometimes you just want to make sure your strength is right. He looks good and ready to go.”
Also, linebacker Justin Durant (ankle), who left the Vikings’ game with an ankle injury, is expected to play.
