After committing to Georgia in December, Newton High School guard Ashton Hagans has withdrawn his commitment to the Bulldogs, according to multiple reports.

Both The Telegraph and ESPN’s Jeff Borzello confirmed the news Monday.

According to 247 Sports, Hagans, a 6-foot-4, 185 pound 5-star from Covington, Ga., is the top point guard in the recruiting class of 2019 and the eighth-best recruit in the nation. Hagans is also considering FSU, Georgia Tech and Auburn, according to 247 Sports.

The Telegraph's Jason Butt reported Hagans would have been the highest ranked recruit ever obtained by Mark Fox at Georgia.
