Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is projected to sell lots of merchandise in 2017.
The NFL Players Association announced on Tuesday the 2017 Rising 50 List, identifying players who will rank among the season’s top sellers of NFL merchandise.
Freeman ranked second on the list behind Arizona Cardinals’ running back David Johnson.
The Falcons had three total players on 2017 Rising 50, tied for third most among all NFL teams. Behind Freeman, running back Tevin Coleman landed at No. 30 and linebacker Vic Beasley finished at No. 36 on the list.
To determine the list’s order, each player’s 2016 on-field performance, fantasy football popularity and demand from NFLPA sponsors and licensees are evaluated. Newly drafted and signed players in certain markets also play a factor in determining where a player lands on the list.
