Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard and his father will host their fifth annual basketball camp July 20-24 at Douglass High School.
The camp will feature guest speakers, NBA all-stars, team competitions and a father-and-son game.
A product of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, Howard is the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year and the 2008 Slam Dunk Contest champion. He led the Magic to the NBA finals, where it fell to the Los Angeles Lakers last month.
"I hope this camp can help strengthen bonds between the fathers and sons participating, while also providing lasting memories," Howard said. "It's our goal to run a basketball camp that creates positive, meaningful experiences in our community and brings people back year after year."
