Three key players for Georgia Tech trying to return from injuries, defensive lineman Patrick Gamble, B-back Zach Laskey and A-back Charles Perkins, did not practice Monday as the Yellow Jackets began preparations for the N.C. State game Saturday.

“We’ll evaluate this week and see where the guys who were out, see where they are,” coach Paul Johnson said after Monday’s practice.

Laskey has missed the past two games with a shoulder injury, while Perkins suffered a knee injury against Pittsburgh and did not play against Virginia Saturday. Gamble injured his left leg near the end of the Virginia game. Laskey and Perkins were both in red jerseys, meaning they were held out. Gamble was not at practice.

Said Johnson of Gamble, “Pat’s x-rays are negative. We’ll just have to see how quick he can come back this week.”

Johnson said that, aside from the aforementioned three, there were no other players who could miss the game against the Wolfpack due to injury.
