UGA and Brian Schottenheimer have agreed to terms on his employment contract and the final tally for the Bulldogs’ new offensive coordinator is $2.9 million.

That’s slightly higher than originally announced. According to a copy of the 24-page contract, Schottenheimer’s three-year deal signed last month will pay him an annual salary of $957,200. That includes a base salary of $375,000 and the remaining $582,200 is considered “supplemental compensation.” Schottenheimer will receive the supplemental income in monthly payments of $48,516.67 per month.

That makes Schottenheimer the second-highest paid offensive coordinator in the SEC. LSU’s Cam Cameron makes $1.3 million annually.

Schottenheimer’s buyout clause calls for him to pay UGA $125,000 if he leaves before Jan. 1, 2016, $100,00 before Jan. 1, 2017 and $50,000 before Dec. 31, 2017. UGA would owe him full compensation for the remainder of the contract if it initiates a termination.
