UGA finalizes 2009-10 basketball schedule

Athens - Georgia's 2009-10 men's basketball schedule, which came together later than usual because of the change of head coaches, finally is complete.

Georgia's regular-season debut under new coach Mark Fox will come on Nov. 13 against New Orleans in Stegeman Coliseum. The Bulldogs will play an exhibition game against North Georgia in Athens on Nov. 6.

Other non-conference home opponents include St. Louis on Dec. 2, Pepperdine on Dec. 30 and Georgia Tech on Jan. 5.

Georgia plays non-conference road games at UAB, Virginia Tech and Missouri.

The Bulldogs will play St. John's in New York's Madison Square Garden on Dec. 9 and Illinois at the Gwinnett Arena on Dec. 19.

Georgia's SEC schedule opens Jan. 9 at Kentucky. The SEC home opener is Jan. 13 against Ole Miss.
