Three GSU players honored by Sun Belt

Georgia State baseball players Nic Wilson, Chase Raffield and Joey Roach were named to the Sun Belt’s all-conference first team on Tuesday.

Wilson is third in Division I and led the conference and in homers (18), followed by Raffield (14), who also led the Sun Belt in RBIs (59).

Wilson, a first baseman and native of Decatur, also had 20 doubles, 50 runs and 52 RBIs.

Raffield, an outfielder and native of Cochran, hit .356 to finish his career with a .368 average. He earned all-conference honors for two consecutive years.

Roach, a catcher and native of Holly Springs, N.C., batted .301 with 23 RBIs.
