Tech hires special-teams coach

May 13, 2014

Pending a background check, longtime special-teams coach Ray Rychleski will be hired to Georgia Tech’s coaching staff as its special-teams coordinator. Rychleski will replace David Walkosky, who resigned May 2. The hire was first reported by coachingsearch.com Tuesday morning.

Rychleski is also expected to assist offensive line coach Mike Sewak. Rychleski has 28 years of coaching experience at the college level, including Wake Forest (1993-2000), Maryland (2001-07) and South Carolina (2008). He was the Indianapolis Colts’ special-teams coordinator 2009-2011 before coaching with the Montreal Alouettes in the 2013 season.
