Georgia Tech forward Derrick Favors was named ACC rookie of the week after averaging 14 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots while Tech went 2-1 in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off. He shot 81 percent from the floor in the tournament, going 17-for-21, and is second in the ACC in field goal percentage (.700) on the season.

Favors recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds in Sunday's 85-67 win over Boston University.
